PLAN OF ACTIVITIES
DONLY Sports club for term 2008/2009
1. From 6th to 8th February 2009 to organize III. Central European Championship in Sled Dog Racing - Srpint and International “OPEN“ Slovak Championship in cooperation with Donovaly village.
2. To provide financial support and equipment to the active members – club mushers for their sports activity, so they can achieve good results and represent the club successfully.
3. To develop cooperation with Technicko-športový klub Banská Bystrica (Technical and sports club Banská Bystrica) in co-organizing and supporting each other in their sports events according to their plans of activities.
4. To develop cooperation with newly founded Malamute club Donovaly and to find an appropriate form of interconnection of common interests.
5. To pursue active cooperation with aviation company EHC Prešov and promote them by means of sightseeing and promotion flights and by surveying events at Donovaly.
6. To continue friendly cooperation with magazine Kynologická revue and its publishers.
7. To create and update continuously a newly formed website of Donly – sports club of Donovaly in order to improve communication with the world.
8. To promote activities of Donly – sports club of Donovaly at the information board set in the centre of the village and update it regularly.
9. To provide compensation of the burden to the inhabitants of Donovaly village caused by organization of big scale sports events in the village.
10. To join organizing of sports events in the village throughout the year:
- Krňačky Race February 2009 (krňačky – a big wooden sleigh traditionally used for wood or crops transport in the country)
- Winter events organized by Park Snow Donovaly
- Supporting spring ascent of Zvolen hill, March – April 2009
- Supporting and co-organizing of VIII. Special Exhibition of St. Bernard Dogs.
- Spring mountain tracking Donovaly – Špania dolina, May 2009
- Mountain marathon Trangoška – Donovaly, June 2009
- Memorial of MUDr. Oľga Králová – dog rescuers, September 2009
11. Active participation in events organized by Communal office Donovaly:
- May celebrations in the village, April 2009
- Spring voluntary works in the village, April 2009
- Football tournament – Cup of Donovaly mayor, July 2009
- Material and personal help for other cultural and social events in the village
12. From 8th to 15th February 2009 to organize 41st European Ski Competition of Foresters (EFNS).
13. To secure dog chipping and veterinary care for dogs of club mushers.
14. To prepare a publication devoted to the 18th anniversary of sled dog races in Donovaly.
15. To take excellent care of club mascot – Samko Dog.
